Welcome to the Daily Dose of Elmhurst CRC. My name is Kyle Olson and I serve here as the Technical Director. I'll be reading from The Voice translation of John 20, verses 24 and 25

All of the eleven were present with the exception of Thomas. He heard the accounts of each brother’s interaction with the Lord.  The Other Disciples: We have seen the Lord!  Thomas: Until I see His hands, feel the wounds of the nails, and put my hand to His side, I won’t believe what you are saying.

Kyle Olson  1:02

Let's pray. Lord, thank you for your word. Thank you for your stories of Jesus on earth and thank you that we get to recognize the humanity in Jesus and in all of the disciples around him. Lord, I don't think it's a sin to feel doubt - it's a part of our human experience. And for some of us, in order to take those steps forward in faith, we just need a little bit more. We just need to see a little bit, to experience a little bit. But what's interesting is that when all is said and done, and we end up looking back at many of our experiences and places that we were and people that were brought into our lives, we gain a little bit better perspective - almost more like your perspective, looking at it big picture. Then, our doubt and fears start to fade away. And for those of us that see this resurrection, hear about it but are still not sure - Lord, show us the light, the path and the way, for we know that you draw near to us every day and it is your heart's desire for us to follow you. In your name, amen.
