Welcome to Elmhurst CRC's Daily Dose of the Word of God. It's Wednesday, April 16. My name is Kyle Olson, and I serve here as the Technical Director. I'll be reading from The Voice translation of John chapter 12, verses 35 and 36 (The Voice).

This is the voice of Jesus: Light is among you, but very soon it will flicker out. Walk as you have the light, and then the darkness will not surround you. Those who walk in darkness don't know where they are going, while the light is with you. Believe in the light, and you will be reborn as sons and daughters of the light. After speaking these words, Jesus left the people to go to a place of seclusion.

Let's pray. Lord, thank you for your word. Thank you for this week where we follow your steps to the cross. Help us to see the light around us. Help us to walk as we have light so we will not be overcome by darkness. As we wrestle this week with your walk to the cross and all that it implies, keep our eyes towards the light so that we may believe and be reborn. In your name, Amen.
