Kyle Olson 0:07
Welcome to Elmhurst CRC's Daily Dose of the Word of God. Today is Wednesday, April 9. My name is Kyle Olson and I serve here as the Technical Director. I'll be reading from John chapter 12, verses 14 through 16 (The Voice).
Kyle Olson 0:24
Jesus found a young donkey, sat on it, and rode through the crowds mounted on this small beast. The Scriptures foretold of this day: Daughter of Zion, do not be afraid. Watch! Your King is coming. You will find Him seated on the colt of a donkey. The disciples did not understand any of this at the time; these truths did not sink in until Jesus had been glorified. As they reflected on their memories of Jesus, they realized these things happened just as they were written.

Let's pray. Lord, thank you for today. Thank you for your word and thank you for Jesus's walk to the cross where we learn so much about not only the inner life of Jesus, but the time that he spent with his disciples in his last days. Lord, help us to reflect on Jesus's role in our own lives. Maybe as we look back, we can see that things were already in motion and a part of a larger plan. Maybe where we are today is because some of the steps that we've taken with Jesus - not on our own merit, but through his grace and mercy. In your name, amen.
