Welcome to Elmhurst CRC's Daily Dose of the Word of God. This is Kyle Olson, and I serve here as the Technical Director. Today is Wednesday, March 19. I'll be reading from John chapter 11, verses 41, 42 and 43. The context of this is Jesus on his way to Lazarus and arriving at his tomb - a small cave covered by a massive stone.

They removed the stone and Jesus lifted his eyes toward heaven. "Father, I am grateful that you have heard me. I know that you are always listening, but I proclaim it loudly so that everyone here will believe you have sent me." After these words, he called out in a thunderous voice, "Lazarus, come out!"

Let's pray. Lord, thank you for your word. Thank you for these stories of Jesus walking among us and doing amazing things - hearing about him, taking time for everyone around him. Not only performing miracles, but spending his words in order to connect with people and to further your kingdom in this world. Help us to see these things that are happening in our world right now. Help us to see the miracles and evidence of your kingdom. Help us to take time with people to bring your words, your comfort and your good news. Help it to stay in our hearts, in our prayers and in the way that we walk through life. In your name, amen.
