Welcome to Elmhurst CRC's daily dose of the Word of God. It's Thursday, December 30, and Sundays comin'. This is Kyle Olson and I'll be reading from Psalm 147 verses 15 through 20. "He sends His command to the earth, His word runs swiftly. He spreads the snow like wool and scatters the frost like ashes. he hurls down his hail like pebbles, who can withstand his icy blast, he sends his word and melts them. He stirs up his breezes and the waters flow. He has revealed his word to Jacob, his laws and decrees to Israel. He has done this for no other nation. They do not know his loss. Praise the Lord."

Let's pray. Lord in this wintery season, let your words spread like snow. Maybe like hail. Maybe like an icy blast, maybe like this wintery mess that we're in, no matter how it reaches us. Please, Lord, let it melt our hearts and let it sink in so that we can reflect on what it says. So that we can reflect you your name Amen.
